"Confessions of a Remote Project Manager"

You've got a $4M budget, a team of 30, strong sponsorship and a well defined project scope. There's only one problem - your team is dispersed over the globe! This talk relates the experiences of an international project manager managing a virtual team. It explores some of the challenges of remote management such as culture, time and technology. And it provides some tips and techniques for succeeding as a virtual team.

Our speaker, Steve Murphy, has over 10 years of experience as a Project and Programmer Manager. For the last 7 years he has been managing global projects for Hewlett Packard.

This event is a joint meeting with the BCS Bristol Branch.
