"Formula 1 Project Management"

Deliver on time David France, B·A·R Honda's IT Director will provide an insight into the world of formuala one. He will cover the role of IT within this technologu dependent sport and some of the challenges that the IT team face. He will also discuss how B·A·R Honda manage the annual cycle of car development, testing and racing and include some of B·A·R Honda's experience with ground breaking projects such as "Lifing".

B·A·R Honda are one of only 10 teams competing in the FIA Formula One World Championship today. They operate in a fast moving world where the winning team will be determined not only by the ability to design, build, test and race the fastest and most reliable racing car on the grid but by the ability to continue improving and developing the race car throughout the season. In the technology dependant world of formula one, both the ability to manage concurrent activities and attention to detail are of paramount importance. To help keep track of the thousands of parts that make up a formula one racing car, B·A·R Honda have implemented systems that enable the “life” of individual parts to be tracked.
