"Scope Management"

Scope is one of the many bugbears of the project manager, and forms part of the ‘golden triangle’ along with cost and quality. This session will look at why scope management is so important and what project managers can do to avoid the traps of assumptions, implied organisational knowledge and scope creep. We will look at the mental model mismatch, how to involve users in scope definition and the two essential things that need to be included in your scope, whatever the project.

Our speaker, Elizabeth Harrin, works a senior project manager at AXA’s global headquarters in Paris. She has extensive experience in e-commerce projects which has given her the opportunity to develop a successful collaborative management style. She is currently researching and writing a project management book and will draw on her research examples to illustrate the presentation. Elizabeth is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and Six Sigma Black Belt.
