"Tricks & Traps" (preceded by a brief AGM)

On their way to a conference, a group of software project managers find an abandoned open briefcase on the train. Inside is a diary titled "Project Diary: Blunt Albatross", subtitled "Notes from the far side of sanity". Tony is nominated to read it out loud. Join the group as the journey begins and listen in on how the mysteriously missing project manager shares the tricks and traps which she used to overcome extreme odds to successfully deliver her software project. And finally help solve the mystery of where she is now!

Our speaker, Tony Grout, uses this interesting presentation style to share an insight into the key practices that he has found work during his successful career delivering both small and large software projects; covering everything from how to defend an estimate to how to know when your technical team are kidding themselves about the end date.

fmisolutions logoTony Grout, brings with him over 20 years of practical experience in the software industry, driven by a deep passion of improving the software that touches us all in our everyday lives.
